Carolynn  Kavanagh-    I started doing Agility with CACM in 1993.

First dog was Maggie, Airedale terrier.  Maggie was a year old when I

got her.  Very tough dog to start with,  smart dog, not so bright

handler. Agility was a very new sport and  the methods  of teaching were

just  trial and error. Maggie was the first Airedale to get a title with

AKC.  We must have done something  right.  We did go on to get  our

MX-MXJ in AKC, we did some USDAA and some NADA.  My next rescue dog was a wonderful  Black Std. Poodle named  Jazz.  Jazz was two.  What a different dog to train than the Airedale.  Whole new set of problems.  But very willing dog to work with.  Next dog was a  Welsh terrier,Bebe.  Back to the mind of a terrier.  I then had to good  luck to get a Norwich Terrier, Auggie.   Still a terrier but was willing to do what I

asked of him.  Right now I have one Welsh terrier, Twist, two Norwich,

Auggie and Aurora.  I started  teaching for CACM  in  1996.  I have been

an instruction for CACM  ever since.  I have been to five AKC Nationals

and  have travel from the East coast to the West coast  showing my dogs.

This is a great sport that  has made may changes since I started  back

in 1993. It changes with every dog and every handler.  But  the may

thing is it is great sport and great  fun for the dog and the handler. I

have also served as Co-Director of Training  and Director of Training

for CACM.
